STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT

CIS students brought laurels to our school with their outstanding performances in the field of sports.

Additionally, Divij Pawar and Tanish Nandanikar have showcased their skills in the district-level karate competition, each earning bronze medals in both Kata and Kumite.

Drisana Guha Mazumder has achieved a black belt in Karate and has also won two gold medals in both Kata and Kumite in the 30 kg category at the Republic Cup 2025, organised on 1st and 2nd February in Balewadi. We are all proud of her and wish her the best of luck for her upcoming matches.

Samrrudii Waable participated in the Stairs Youth National Games 2024, held in Delhi from April 25th to May 2nd. This prestigious event, approved by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and NSPO, showcased exceptional talent from across the nation. Samrrudii excelled in the National Karate Championship (under-17 years category) and proudly won gold and silver medals in Kata and Kumite matches.

Ayushman Barik secured the 1st prize in the 25 Meters Freestyle Swimming Competition (9 to 11 Boys Category) at the SLTC Annual Swimming Gala. This event, organized by RLSS and SLTC, took place on June 9th, 2024, at the Rashtriya Life Saving Society (India), Wanowrie, Pune, Maharashtra.

Our student Ranvijay Abhishek Barhate participated in the 8th National Karate Tournament on 17th November 2024, held at Balewadi. He bagged a silver medal and won a gold medal at the South Asian Karate Tournament held in Faridabad, New Delhi, in December 2024.

Viraj Gawas and Vighnesh Khake proudly qualified for the national-level archery championship and represented our school in Delhi from 22nd to 26th October 2024.

Sharvil Kharat and Omkar Jadhav also delivered exceptional performances, demonstrating remarkable focus and skill throughout the competition.

DSO ZP Pune Shooting Success: Savi Amar won silver in Pistol Shooting (U-19), and Taher Bbasali Husain earned bronze in Peep Sight Air Rifle (U-17) at the zonal-level matches held at Dhruv Global School, Pune. Both showcased outstanding skill and sportsmanship.

Shlok Sharnarthi won a gold medal in the U14–16 Chess category at the Sakal Schoolympics competition held at Karve Nagar. Shlok successfully played nine rounds and emerged victorious in the finals against Sinhgad Springdale School.

Viraj Gawas of CIS emerged victorious at the State-Level Archery Championship held in Pune on 9th and 10th February in the U-14 category. Displaying exceptional skill and determination, he secured five gold medals and clinched the overall 1st position, winning the championship trophy and bringing immense pride to the school and the entire Pune district.

Our student, Viresh Sharnarthi, represented India at the Commonwealth Chess Championship (under-14), held in Sri Lanka from 27th August to 6th September 2024. Viresh made us incredibly proud by winning an impressive tally of three medals:
• Gold in Classical Chess
• Gold in Rapid Chess
• Silver in Blitz Chess
He has truly made us all proud!
